I searched real estate websites and asked everyone I could to locate a 2 - 5 acre home site in a country setting and almost gave up. A friend got a tip on 2 acres so we walked it and it was really nice. He contacted the owner and found we were across the street from our target. I wanted to make an offer but they delayed for about 2 months and eventually stopped communicating. I decided to contact the timber company about the area I originally walked to see we they would consider selling 2 acres. I found the name of the timber company and sent an email to their general mailbox and didn't think a large timber company would respond. About 2 weeks later I received a call from Mr. Robby Greer who was asked to contact me about my email. Robby was very nice and let me know what to do to request a purchase of the land and the steps and timeframe involved. Robby said to wait for a call from the corporate office, and Veronica Cook called me within a week. She was very knowledgeable and let me know that she and Robby would assist with everything and get back with me. I submitted my offer to Robby, and Veronica presented it for approval. About 3 weeks later my offer was accepted! Veronica and my lawyer handled the sale paperwork and let me know when the sale was completed.
